NYSC denies suspension of orientation course in crisis-prone states

NATIONAL Youth Service Corps, NYSC, weekend, debunked a media report that the orientation course for prospective corps members deployed to crisis-prone states has been suspended due to the outbreak of Ebola Virus Disease, EVD.
The scheme urged prospective corps members to ignore the report, saying orientation course for corps members deployed to Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa, Jigawa, Yobe and Borno states was still on course.
A statement by the NYSC Director of Press and Public Relation, Mrs Olubunmi Aderibigbe, described the report as misleading, asking corps members to report to their various camps for proper documentation.
The statement read: “The attention of the NYSC Management has been drawn to a news report aired on AIT to the effect that the orientation course for prospective corps members deployed to Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa, Jigawa, Yobe and Borno states has been suspended due to the outbreak of Ebola Virus Disease.
